Water migration changes the scope
Flooring can carry water beneath finishes, drywall can wick moisture above the visible line, and cabinets or insulation can hold water out of sight. Indoor humidity also rises as wet materials evaporate.
The longer these conditions remain, the more likely finishes swell, adhesives release, stains develop, and porous materials become difficult to restore. Timing matters, but safety is never skipped for speed.
